Commanded to test the Spirit. Discern between truth and falsehood. Not supposed to blindly trust.
Matthew 10:16
Be ready to question the assumptions of the world. Are the prophets from the world or from God? Are they speaking what the world wants to hear or from God?
To test the Spirit:
Are they living out the commandments of God? Use God’s values to judge the world, not the others way around.
John 1:1-2
Approach each other in the spirit of love. Jesus was confident in the truth but still able to reach out.
It is impossible to reconcile with false prophets but we should still reach out in love.
Through God we have overcome the antiChrist that is already in the world.
